Britten Serenade is a concert film produced in partnership with the London Chamber Orchestra as part of a commissioned series of films across the orchestra’s season.
Filmed at St John’s Smith Square, the project captured a live concert performance of Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings, working within the constraints of a single-night event and a functioning concert environment. The production was designed to operate without the infrastructure of traditional film shoots, integrating multiple camera positions into the live performance setting.
The film brought together performers including Toby Spence and Christopher Warren-Green, translating a live orchestral event into a structured film format while preserving the continuity and immediacy of performance.
The project formed part of an ongoing collaboration with the London Chamber Orchestra, demonstrating the application of the Fly On The Wall format within commissioned institutional programmes.
