Live @ Bechstein Hall

This remarkable concert by Andrey Gugnin was recorded on February 20th, 2025. In the dimmed lights of the newly built Bechstein Hall, the Moscow-trained pianist gives two back-to-back performances of Chopin's Etudes Op 10 and 25. After the exhilaration of the first, Gugnin returns with a mysterious, dramatic and alluring revisitation. A new narrative thread emerges, as the artist fixes on the moment, spurring him to some of his most concentrated, impassioned and expressive playing. It is this second performance documented here.
